EPISODE DESCRIPTION

Before I recieve directly into Xbox repair I have to begin by saying I absolutely love my Xbox and wouldn't be without them for any minute. As a gaming platform It is first rate. Yes I think its better than the ps3 but thats just my estimation and that i be aware of ps3 is another great machine.

Now to the purpose of this short article. Xbox repair. If you have an Xbox or a friend of yours has an Xbox, without doubt you'll already be conscious of the numerous problems this equipment is having. It seems as many as one in three Xbox games consoles will suffer some kind of hardware problem during its life. Now that's a hell of the large amount of Xbox's that will need some kind of repair. Which seems like some embarrassment to Microsoft.

OK so how come all these problems happening, and do you know the problems? Well it would appear the main cause of all of the Xbox's problems is heat related. You might have experienced this situation yourself, after a heavy gaming session of over 4 hours your Xbox freezes. You try the old trick of the reboot (switching them back after which on again). Then you get the now infamous 'Red Ring Of Death'. This for individuals who don't know is where the once green lights on the front of the console are replaced by flashing red lights, the red lights can be flashing in either one or three from the four light sections. That my friend is game over and time for Xbox repair.

So its overheating causing the problems. Simply the console is getting that hot inside that a few of the soldered contacts are wearing down. Now this sometimes happens slowly with time or can occur after one long gaming session however the results are exactly the same. Forget about gaming for you until your xbox is repaired.

So what do you do if you have this problem. First thing isn't to panic, it can be fixed. So this is the great news and today unhealthy. In case your out of warranty its likely to set you back about $150. Ouch. Let's focus on some the money isn't worst part. What about the truth that your going to be without having your Xbox for approximately 3 months. 3 years no gaming, imagine that.

My Xbox is in warranty I here you cry, well your in luck (well you are if you possess the original purchase receipt in your name). There's more chance of a warranty repair now Microsoft have extended the warranty period to 3 months now. But you have to meet a few of their strict warranty rules to qualify for a free Xbox repair. First of it obviously needs to be within the agreed warranty period (Three years). You need the original receipt in your name. Even the warranty only covers hardware faults that cause the red ring lights.

The major problem with getting Microsoft to correct your xbox in addition to the cost (if out of warranty) it's time it takes. As mentioned the 2009 could be as much as 3 months. This is mainly due to the amount of xbox repairs being carried out.

There's another solution to your problem, it may seem at little daunting in the beginning but trust me its a piece of cake. repair your xbox yourself. but wait I'm not sure the very first thing about xbox repair. No problem an xbox may be easily repaired of these faults using only several easily accessible tools along with a repair guide. There are some guides out there but make sure you pick one which has video instruction in addition to a manual. They're straight forward and easy to follow along with and you'll have you Xbox ready to go inside a handful of hours. No wait. Cost-free.
